Community Service
We really make an emphasis on how important it is to help the community! Our TXA1 Philanthropy for 2010-2011 is St. Jude's Children's Hospital. LTA believes in giving our assistance whenever possible and wherever needed. As chapters, we hold various fundraisers to collect donations for for organizations across the world, nation, and locally.
Here are the community service events of which our chapter/Interest group in Lubbock, Texas: Mi Casita Nursing Home, Viva Aztlan Festival, Lion's Club Annual Pancake Festival, AIDS Awareness Day, Wear Red for Women, Habitat for Humanity, Cesar Chavez March, Miss Hispanic Lubbock Pageant, No Cielings, Mini University Day, Relay for Life, and Arbor Day, Lulac, AIDS Awareness Day, Fiestas del Llano, Mega March Dallas 2010, & Dream Act.
